Crystal Clear Vision Helps Turn Dreams Into Reality
3rd Annual Catch the Vision Fund Raiser Hosted By Mossy Oak & Friends Nets $200,000 for Catch-A-Dream Foundation

Mississippi State, MS – Mossy Oak® Brand Camo and Mississippi State University are proud to announce the overwhelming success of the 3rd annual Catch the Vision golf, shotgun and music spectacular, which netted $200,000. An annual event held for the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, Catch the Vision has become widely noted for bringing together the very best of the outdoors, sporting and entertainment industries. For the 3rd straight year the event was hosted by 2004 CMA award-nominated, RCA recording artist Tracy Byrd and was attended by notables such as Bill Dance, Fuzzy Zoeller and Blake Shelton.

“What an incredible event,” said Toxey Haas, founder and CEO of Mossy Oak. “The weather was great, the camaraderie was phenomenal, the entertainment was out of this world, and above all, it was all put together with the foremost thought of helping terminally ill children achieve their dreams of a once in a lifetime hunt or outdoor adventure. The funds raised by this group of folks, and through this event, will indeed have a direct and positive impact on these children’s lives. That’s what really makes this a vision worth catching.”

The Catch-A-Dream Foundation was the vision of Bruce Brady, a writer, sculptor, and hunter with a genuine love for the outdoors that was evident in his daily life. Established in 2000, after Brady lost his battle with cancer, Catch-A-Dream strives to provide life-changing outdoor related experiences for youth, age 18 years and younger, who are battling life threatening illnesses. The goals of this extraordinary organization are to memorialize Brady and help make his vision a reality by granting deserving children an outdoor adventure that will provide them with a memorable, encouraging and uplifting experience. These goals are achieved through contributions from companies, organizations and individuals. Each contributor to Catch-A-Dream becomes part of a child’s individual experience. This allows for the personal satisfaction of seeing a child they’ve helped achieve his/her dream, and moreover, witness how that experience has made a difference in the child’s life.

This year’s Catch the Vision event was made even more special through the recognition awarded to select corporate sponsors who, through their sustained support and involvement, have not only “caught the vision” but have demonstrated an unwavering dedication to helping Catch-A-Dream “perpetuate the vision.” This honor, aptly named the “Corporate Vision Award,” was presented to Mossy Oak’s Toxey Haas, Shell Oil’s Jim McCormick, Kraft Foods’ Cecil Bragg, Wal-Mart’s Tom Coughlin, and Kroger’s Richard Tillman.

In a separate award, “Big” Bob Hart of Wal-Mart was recognized for his outstanding dedication and continued contributions by having Catch-A-Dream’s donor recognition program named the “Big Bob Hart Dream Maker Club” in his honor.

At the conclusion of this year’s events, Dr. Marty Brunson, Chairman of the Catch-A-Dream Foundation, said: “We are continually amazed at the incredible support this cause receives from the corporate world and outdoor industries. Our presenting sponsors and the several dozen other participating sponsors made possible the success of this event. The enthusiasm and support sparked by these two days is clear evidence that all in attendance have clearly caught the vision! We also announced during the event, an expansion of eligibility to children from Canada. The resources generated will allow us to continue making outdoor dreams come true not only for children from across the U.S., but now we will also serve children and families residing in Canada."

The Bruce Brady Memorial Catch-A-Dream Foundation is headquartered at Mississippi State University, and operates as a unique component of the Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. For more information or to learn how to participate, please go online and visit http://www. catchadream.org.
