Many people work together to make a dream happen for a child. All of the volunteer roles are important to achieving this goal. Below is a description of each role, along with a listing of the responsibilities for each role.

DREAM HELPERS

[Photo]: Montana landscapeDream Helpers work closely with Catch-A-Dream staff, providing the support they need to make a dream happen. The responsibilities of this role are:

  1. Run errands to pick up supplies, materials, etc.
  2. Prepare trip packages
  3. Make copies
  4. Assist at trade shows
  5. Other duties as needed


DREAM HOSTS

Dream Hosts represent the Catch-A-Dream Board of Directors to the child and his/her family. The responsibilities of this role are:

  1. Accompany child on trip as official Catch-A-Dream representative
  2. Present gifts, clothing, etc. to the child
  3. Assist the Outfitters/Guides, etc. if necessary
  4. “Entertain” siblings, etc. when needed
  5. Procure rental vehicles and drive when needed (i.e. transportation to and from airports, etc.)
  6. Provide local logistical/fiscal resources if needed (i.e. purchase incidental supplies, food, etc. on reimbursement basis)
  7. Take plenty of photos
  8. Implement and share “The Vision”

DREAM TELLERS

Dream Tellers assist with the promotion of Catch-A-Dream. The responsibilities of this role are:

  1. Represent the program in local communities across the country
  2. Promote the program by speaking at civic clubs and other local events
  3. Share "The Vision" in local communities through word of mouth, other contacts, etc.
