Peggy
Brady is the wife of the late Bruce Brady, a visionary
of the Catch-A-Dream Program. She has been an enthusiastic supporter
of the program since its inception. When Mr. Brady became ill,
Mrs. Brady observed how his strength was renewed through outdoor
experiences. She shared his desire to see the Catch A Dream Program
provide needed spiritual encouragement and hope for ill children.
Throughout their forty-five year marriage, Mr.
and Mrs. Brady shared many outdoor experiences hunting and fishing
together and as a family. Mrs. Brady’s trophies include
Dall Sheep, Barren Ground Grizzly, Black Bear, Elk, Mule Deer,
Whitetail Deer, and a Boone and Crocket record Pronghorn. Mrs.
Brady’s chief hunting pleasure comes from hunting her favorite
species, the Wild Turkey. To her credit, she has taken a Grand
Slam of North American Wild Turkey in one spring using a twenty
gauge shotgun.
Mr.
and Mrs. Brady’s fishing adventures took them to the streams
of Alaska and the Rocky Mountains for trout and salmon, to the
Gulf of Mexico for Marlin and other saltwater fish, and to the
lakes and rivers of their native Southland. Today Mrs. Brady hunts
and fishes with her grandchildren, encouraging them to see and
respect what God has to offer in His wonderful creation.
A staunch conservationist, Mrs. Brady is a member
of The Mississippi Wildlife Federation, The North American Wild
Sheep Foundation, The National Wild Turkey Federation, and The
National Rifle Association.
Mrs. Brady lives in Brookhaven, Mississippi along
with her three children and their spouses: Janie and Spencer Mooney,
Bruce, Jr. and Beth Brady, Becky and Mike Taylor and her thirteen
grandchildren. She has been active in several civic organizations
promoting her community and enjoys membership in a ladies culture
club. An active member of Central Baptist Church, Mrs. Brady helps
lead a ladies Bible study group, is an officer in The Women’s
Missionary Union, and has worked on the mission field with church
planting committees.
Recently, Mrs. Brady has been greatly blessed to
serve as a co-host on trips with several of the Catch A Dream
Junior Partners.
