Jimmy Bullock
is the
Manager, Forest Resource Sustainability, for Resource Management Service, LLC, in Birmingham, AL. Prior to joining Resource Management Service, LLC, he was Manager, Wildlife Policy & Programs, for International Paper. Bullock received
his B.S. Degree in Forestry/Wildlife from Mississippi State University
in 1980; and attained his M.S. Degree in Wildlife Ecology from
that same institution in 1982. Prior to joining International
Paper, he was Manager of Wildlife and Sustainable Forestry for
Union Camp Corporation in Savannah, Georgia.
A
certified wildlife biologist and registered forester, Jimmy is
past Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Quality Deer
Management Association. A past president of the Mississippi
Wildlife Federation, Jimmy currently serves on the Boards of both
the Mississippi and Georgia Wildlife Federations. In
1994, Bullock was honored with the prestigious Forest Stewardship
Award of the American Forest & Paper Association for his work
with black bear conservation in the southern United States.
Proactive conservation
of endangered species on private lands is a continuing passion. In
addition to his work with black bear, Jimmy has authored or co-authored
two Habitat Conservation Plans and a Safe Harbor Agreement. He
has participated in numerous national discussions and work groups
on
species
conservation, including a Keystone Dialogue on Incentives for
Species Conservation on Private Lands and a Meridian Dialogue
on Tools for Endangered Species Conservation on Private Lands. He
also has participated in U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service workshops
on private land management, species conservation, and partnerships
across the United States. A native of Mississippi, Jimmy, and
his wife Jan, and sons Brian and David reside in Brookhaven, Mississippi.
