Harry
Dendy is the President of Capitol Ag Services, Inc. His company
is located in Jackson, MS and consults on legislative and governmental
affairs. Harry was raised on a family farm in Houston, MS. He
graduated from Houston High School and received his B.S. degree
from Mississippi State University in General Agriculture. He was
employed by the Farm Credit System in 1970 and held various leadership
positions with the Federal Land Bank Association and the Farm
Credit Bank of Texas until his retirement in May, 2003. As the
Director of Public and Legislative Affairs for the Farm Credit
Bank of Texas, he monitored all legislative activity and took
an active role in the arena of public affairs and represented
the Bank at all significant agricultural functions in Alabama,
Louisiana, and Mississippi. Active in several agricultural organizations,
Harry is presently Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the
4-H Foundation of Mississippi, a member of the Mississippi 4-H
Advisory Council, Secretary/Treasurer of the Dixie National Sale
of Junior Champions, Secretary/Treasurer of the Mississippi Council
of Cooperatives, and on the Board of Directors of the Mississippi
Forestry Association. Harry also serves on the Board of Directors
of the Mississippi State University Bulldog Club. He was listed
in the 1979 Outstanding Young Men of America and is a 1993 graduate
of Leadership Jackson. Harry's hobbies include hunting and fishing.
He is a charter member and co-manager of the 5,300 acre Togo Island
Hunting Club where he serves as Vice-President, Secretary, and
Treasurer. He and his wife Carol, a realtor, reside in Clinton,
Mississippi where they attend First Baptist Church.
